Ready to get started?

This section provides suggestions and sources to get you up to speed on the Second Life Grid. Follow these four steps to get on the Grid:

  1. If you don't already have one, get a Second Life account. Experience Second Life includes five suggestions that will help you get familiar with the Second Life Grid, gain experience, and create a successful presence for your company or organization. You'll find more ideas in the Getting Started section of the Second Life Wiki.
  2. When you are ready to start creating your organization's presence on the Second Life Grid, you can connect with a Solution Provider that can help you create a strong and successful presence. See Finding a Solution Provider for more information. You can contact Linden Lab for an initial consultation about best practices and strategies for success for your organization on the Second Life Grid by using our Contact Us form.
  3. Then, you'll need to buy land to establish a presence on the Second Life Grid. Buying Land provides you with information and links to help you move onto the Second Life Grid.
  4. Finally, we provide several support options and programs that can help your virtual world presence become a success once you come into Second Life. Review Our Programs.
