Become a Second Life Solution Provider

Linden Lab invites individuals and businesses that have experience addressing the needs of real-world organizations in Second Life to join our Solution Provider Program. We specially encourage businesses with extensive enterprise or education experience to join the Program so that the deluge of organizations joining Second Life can take advantage of your expertise and services.

Benefits:

• Company listing in the Solution Provider Directory which businesses use to find resources to help them design their presence in Second Life, create content, and obtain technical and business assistance.
• Access to Solution Provider resources including email updates and in-world meetings about topics of interest or potential impact on the Solution Provider community

Requirements:

• Listed projects must be for clients
• Compliance with all Linden Lab trademark and branding policies
• Accurate and current contact information
• Must be an operating business
• Second Life account must be in good standing
• Directory listing must be updated quarterly

Become a Second Life Gold Solution Provider

About the Gold Solution Provider Program:
The Gold Solution Provider program is a designation with the Second Life Solution Provider program. The Gold Program identifies Solution Providers with a track record of successful projects, significant experience working with real world companies, organizations and institutions in Second Life, and a high level of client satisfaction. Program Benefits:

• Specific logo and language to demonstration membership in the Gold Solution Provider Program
• Ability to communicate client satisfaction, project quality and experience in Second Life to current and potential clients
• Priority in marketing and PR opportunities
• Complimentary membership in Extended Support Program (XSP), which includes accelerated response time and resolution to tickets
• Businesses/organizations contacting Linden Lab will be directed to the Gold Solution Provider list
• Proactive contact from Linden Lab

Evaluation Criteria:
Clients, client relationships, and client references (minimum 3):

• Amount of experience and amount of virtual worlds work done in the Second Life
• Projects launched or continued in the past year (minimum 3)
• Publicity for your Second Life projects, including blog posts, articles, and other publications
• Speaking engagements about Second Life at conferences, seminars, and other public events

Requirements:

• Listing in the Solution Provider Directory for at least six months as Full-Service or Specialist
• Agreement to and compliance with the written terms and conditions for the Gold Solution Provider Program
• All Second Life account(s) associated with applicant must be and remain in good standing
• Compliance with all Linden Lab trademark policies
• Established business with implementation of standard business practices
• Public website that includes description of services offered related to Second Life

Fees:
To apply to the Gold Solution Provider program, there is a US $125 non-refundable application fee and then a US $500 annual membership fee. If accepted, the application fee will be applied towards the annual fee.
